Eden supports the following devices. If your device is not on the list below, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss options
Fire Tablets: Fire HD7 (2021 or newer), Fire HD8 (2022 or newer), Fire HD10 (2021 or newer)
Android Devices:
Minimum Requirements - 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, 32GB ROM
Tip: We recommend ensuring that your devices are up to date with the most current version of the manufacturer's software
Instructions
Go to Settings > Devices
Click “Add Tablet”
Download the Eden App on your tablet
When you first open the app, it will display a six-digit pairing code. Enter the code displayed on your iPad
Once paired, you can:
Name your device
Select “visitors” mode
Select the location where the kiosk will be used
[Optional] Turn on automatic screen dimming by enabling the toggle. This will automatically dim your device screen display to 20% brightness between the hours of 9pm - 7am local time (daily, including weekends).
The device will automatically sign in when all fields are filled out
To customize the device theme, go to Settings > Visitors & Team Safety > Device & Branding:
Here you can update the default branding (automatically applied to all locations by default) or use the +New Branding button in the top right corner to create a new branding theme.
Once all of of your branding themes have been created, you can apply those themes on the Locations tab to the relevant office(s).
To keep your iPad from going to sleep, update the Auto-lock setting. Go to your iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock. Set Auto-Lock to "Never"
To lock your iPad to a single app, follow the instructions below:
Open Settings
Go to General and then Accessibility
Tap on Guided Access (located within the Learning section)
Turn the switch to ON
Tap on Passcode Settings and then Set Guided Access Passcode
Enter a passcode (you’ll need this passcode to exit Guided Access once activated)
*When opening the Eden app on the tablet, if you are encountering the "To connect printer, please enter application settings screen", it means that you have the badge printing field enabled. If you aren't looking to print the badges, please turn off the toggle by going to Settings > Visitors & Team Safety > Configurations > Pencil Icon > Badge Printing.
