Create a Desk or Drop In Reservation

Learn how employees can make drop-in or desk reservations through Slack, Teams, the Mobile App, or the Eden dashboard.

Reserving a Spot on Slack

  1. Initiate a reservation two ways:

    1. From the Eden app, type "reserve"

    2. From any chat window app, type "/eden reserve"

  2. If you have multiple offices, select a location

  3. Select the date of your reservation

  4. Select a desk or skip. If you are assigned to a desk, only one desk will appear on the dropdown.

    1. Skip provides the option to create a Drop In reservation, if allowed by your org

  5. You will receive a confirmation notification. If you have reserved a desk, click “View Floor Plan” to view the floor plan and your selected desk on the dashboard.

  6. Depending on your organization’s settings, you may receive additional notifications, including:

    1. Reminder to complete your wellness survey.

    2. Reminder to check in

    3. Reminder to check out


Reserving a Desk on the Eden Dashboard

  • Navigate to Reservations

  • Select "Desk" icon or "Browse Floor Plan"

  • Select location and date on the top right corner

  • Choose a desk from the floor plan or dropdown menu on left

    • Note: If assigned a permanent desk, you will default to that desk – you will still need to select reserve to confirm your reservation

  • Select “Reserve Desk” to lock in your spot

Checking into and out of a Reservation

  • Check into a desk from the Reservations page

  • If there are registration requirements for your org/location (Wellness Survey, etc.) you will be prompted to complete those requirements before checking in on the day of your visit

  • After checking in, you will be able to check out of a reservation


Reserving a Drop In Spot on the Eden Dashboard

  • Navigate to Reservations

  • Click on “Drop In (No Room or Desk)”

  • Specify location and date

  • Select “Reserve” to lock in your spot

Checking into and out of a Reservation

  • Check into a desk from the Reservations page

  • If there are registration requirements for your org/location (Wellness Survey, etc.) you will be prompted to complete those requirements before checking in on the day of your visit

  • After checking in, you will be able to check out of a reservation

  1. Type “reserve” into the Eden app

  2. If you have multiple offices, select a location

Notifications

Notifications can be customized for each user under Settings > Notifications from the Eden web dashboard.

Notifications can be configured to send via the following channels:

  • Slack

  • Teams

  • SMS

  • email

  • Mobile push notification (must be enabled on the mobile app)

Note: Slack and Teams channels will only be available if those integrations are installed.

Tip: To enable SMS notifications, your phone number must first be added to your profile under Settings > Your Profile
