You can automatically notify hosts or other, designated users when a guest arrives. When the visitor signs in, the appropriate recipients will receive an alert that their visitor has arrived. Depending on your subscription, there are different notification options available:

Setting Up Notifications for Multiple Recipients

Administrators can enable multiple recipients to receive a notification when a guest checks in. This can be enabled per visitor type. To set this up:

  1. Go to Settings > Visitors

  2. On the Configurations tab click on the edit button for the relevant configuration

  3. Select the Visitor Type you'd like to update and scroll down to the Notifications tab

  4. Update the Guest Arrival Notification section with your preferred recipients. When notifying others, you are able to add an email address or select specific Eden users.

Managing Notification Options

Users are able to manage their notification preferences in their Settings > Notifications. A user can enable multiple notification channels, if desired.

SMS (Text) Notification Details

To allow SMS notifications, users must have a phone number associated with their user profile. Today, Eden supports SMS for US-based phone numbers only. If a host is not receiving a text notification, please confirm that they:

  • Have a US-based phone number saved on their user profile

  • Have enabled SMS in their notification preferences

  • Have not unsubscribed / stopped text messages from a previous notification

    • If the user has stopped text messages, ask them to text the word “START” or UNSTOP” on the original text chain to resume messages
