Desk Audit Report: View and export desk reservation data in Employee Analytics

Learn how to view and export desk reservation data in Employee Analytics, including reservation details and an audit history of each reservation.

Written by Camille B.

In Employee Analytics, you can see how each employee uses desk reservations, including how often they book and check in. You can also export reservation details and an audit history of each reservation (the Desk Audit Report), which helps when you're reviewing office attendance or looking into a specific booking.

Note: Only admins can access Employee Analytics. The data covers desk reservations only. Room reservations aren't included.

Open Employee Analytics

  1. Go to Reservations > Workplace Analytics.

  2. Select the Employee Analytics tab.

What you'll see in the table

Each employee is listed with these columns:

  • Name: The employee's name and job title.

  • # of Reservations: How many desk reservations the employee made.

  • # of Check-Ins: How many of those reservations the employee checked in to.

  • Avg. Reservations per Week: The average number of desk reservations the employee made each week.

You can sort the table by any column. Select the arrows next to the column name.

Narrow down your results

Use these options at the top of the page to choose which data appears in the table:

  • Search by employee name: Find a specific person.

  • Date range: Pick a preset, or choose Custom and set your own start and end dates.

  • All Locations: Focus on one location.

  • Filters: Narrow results by user group or user status.

Use filters

  1. Select Filters. The Filters panel opens.

2. Under User Groups, select Select one or more, then choose the user groups you want to include. The list shows the user groups set up in your Eden account.

3. Under User Status, choose Active or Inactive. Leave it blank to include both.

To remove your filters, select Clear all.

Note: Your search, date range, location, and filters also apply to all three exports, so set them before you export.

Export your data

There are three exports in Employee Analytics, and each one includes different information. When you select an export, Eden emails it to you as a CSV file.

Export Table

Select Export Table to get a summary of the table you see on screen. It includes:

  • Name

  • No. Reservations

  • No. Check-Ins

  • Avg. Reservations Per Week

Use this export when you need a high-level view of desk reservation activity for each employee.

Here's an example of what the Export Table CSV looks like:

Export Details

Select Export Details to get one row for each desk reservation. It includes:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Date of Reservation

  • Desk Reserved

  • Released?

  • Checked in?

  • Check In Time

  • Location (Address)

  • Location (Floor)

  • User Group

  • Department Code

  • Location Code

Use this export when you need to see which desks people booked, when they booked them, and whether they checked in or released them.

Here's an example of what the Export Details CSV looks like:

Released? and Checked in? show TRUE or FALSE for each reservation. Check In Time is blank when the employee didn't check in. User Group, Department Code, and Location Code can also be blank if that information isn't set for the employee.

Export Audit History

Select Export Audit History to get a record of every action taken on each desk reservation. It includes:

  • Date

  • Location

  • Reservation Owner

  • Action

  • Performed By

  • User Type

  • Timestamp

  • Details

The Action column shows what happened to the reservation, for example:

  • Created the reservation

  • Checked in

  • Cancelled the reservation

A few columns are worth knowing about:

  • Date is the date of the reservation. Timestamp is when the action happened. For example, a reservation for September 14 might have been created months earlier.

  • Performed By shows who took the action. This helps you tell whether an employee changed their own reservation or someone else did it for them.

  • User Type shows what kind of user took the action: End User, Admin, or System. System means Eden took the action automatically. In that case, Performed By shows an internal Eden process name instead of a person.

Note: To find a specific type of action, filter the Action or Details column in the CSV after you open it.
