Connect the Zoom Integration

S
Written by Support

Connect your Zoom account to Eden Workplace to automatically create Zoom meetings when scheduling conference rooms. Once connected, meeting links are generated automatically and included with your room reservations, eliminating the need to create Zoom meetings separately.

Prerequisites

Before connecting the Zoom integration, make sure you have:

  • Administrator access in Eden Workplace.

  • Administrator access to your organization's Zoom account.

  • Permission to install and authorize apps within Zoom.

Adding the App

To connect Zoom to Eden:

  1. Log in to Eden Workplace.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.

  3. Select Zoom.

  4. Click Connect to Zoom.

  5. Sign in to your Zoom account when prompted.

  6. Review the requested permissions and click Allow.

Eden requires the following Zoom permissions:

  • Enable Zoom App within Zoom Meeting Client

  • View a user's meetings

  • Create a meeting for a user

  • View a meeting's invitation

  • Create invite links for a meeting

Once the connection is complete, the Connect to Zoom button will change to a red Unlink button, confirming the integration is active.

If you experience issues during setup, see the Troubleshooting section below.

Using the Zoom Integration

Once connected, Zoom meetings can be created directly from Eden when scheduling a conference room.

Create a Room Reservation with Zoom

  1. Navigate to Room Reservations.

  2. Create a new reservation.

  3. Select the room, date, and time.

  4. Enable the Zoom Meeting option.

  5. Save the reservation.

Eden will automatically:

  • Create the Zoom meeting.

  • Generate a meeting link.

  • Add the meeting details to the reservation.

Prerequisites for Users

To create Zoom meetings from Eden:

  • Your organization's Zoom integration must already be connected by an administrator.

  • Users must have permission to reserve meeting rooms in Eden.

Removing the App

To disconnect Zoom from Eden:

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account.

  2. Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  3. Select Manage > Added Apps.

  4. Locate Eden Workplace.

  5. Click Remove.

  6. Confirm the removal.

You can also disconnect the integration from Eden:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Select Zoom.

  3. Click Unlink.

What Happens After Removal?

After the integration is removed:

  • Eden will no longer create Zoom meetings for new room reservations.

  • Existing Zoom meetings that were previously created will remain in Zoom unless they are manually deleted.

  • Existing room reservations in Eden will remain intact.

  • No new meeting links will be generated until the integration is reconnected.

Troubleshooting

I don't see the Connect to Zoom button.

Verify that you have administrator permissions in both Eden Workplace and Zoom.

Authorization fails.

Ensure your Zoom account allows Marketplace apps and that your administrator has permission to install applications.

The Zoom Meeting option isn't available when creating a reservation.

Confirm that:

  • The Zoom integration has been successfully connected.

  • The integration shows the Unlink button.

  • Your administrator has completed the setup.

My meeting wasn't created.

Try reconnecting the integration and creating a new reservation. If the issue persists, contact Eden Support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to authorize Zoom for every user?

No. An administrator connects the organization's Zoom account once. Users can then create Zoom meetings based on your organization's configuration.

Can I disconnect Zoom at any time?

Yes. Administrators can disconnect the integration from either Eden or the Zoom App Marketplace.

Will removing the integration delete my existing meetings?

No. Removing the integration prevents new meetings from being created but does not delete meetings that have already been created in Zoom.

What permissions does Eden request?

Eden requests only the permissions necessary to create and manage Zoom meetings associated with room reservations.
